Terms of Use

Last updated: August 9, 2026

These terms apply to the Good on Paper iPhone app and this website, both operated by Henry PL, LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the app or the site, you agree to these terms. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, these terms govern our relationship with you and Apple’s EULA governs your license from Apple.

What the app does

Good on Paper helps you build a resume by answering simple questions. The app turns your answers into resume wording, formats them into templates, and exports a PDF. All of this happens on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Your license to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the app, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.

Purchases

Building and editing resumes is free. Exporting PDFs, using all templates, and unlimited rewrites require a one-time purchase. This is a single payment, not a subscription: pay once and the unlock is yours on every device signed in to your Apple ID, restorable through “Restore Purchases.”

Payments are processed by Apple. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change over time; a price change never affects a purchase you have already made. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s refund policy. We cannot issue refunds directly.

Your content

Everything you write in the app is yours. We claim no ownership of your resume content, and because it is stored only on your device, we never receive it. You are responsible for the accuracy of the resumes you create and share. The app suggests wording based on your answers; review it before you send it to an employer, because you, not the app, are the author of your resume.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app or this website to break the law, to create fraudulent or deliberately misleading documents, or to interfere with the operation of our services.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app and this website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that the app will meet your needs, be error-free, or lead to any particular job outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Henry PL, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or website. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes to the app and these terms

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app over time. We may also revise these terms; when we do, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the jurisdiction in which Henry PL, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
