Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Good on Paper is a resume builder for iPhone made by Henry PL, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app and this website handle, and what we do with it. The short version: your resume lives on your phone, not on our servers. We don’t have accounts, we don’t have a cloud, and we never see what you write.

Your resume stays on your device

Everything you enter in the app, including your name, contact details, work experience, education, skills, and summaries, is stored locally on your iPhone. There is no account to create and no server that receives your resume. We cannot read, access, or recover your resume content.

The app’s writing assistance also runs entirely on your device. When available, it uses Apple Intelligence (Apple’s on-device models); otherwise it uses built-in phrase patterns bundled with the app. Your words are never sent to us or to any AI service.

When you export a PDF, the file is created on your device and handed to iOS to save, share, or print. Where it goes from there is up to you.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand which parts of the app work well, we collect anonymous usage analytics through PostHog, an analytics provider whose servers are located in the United States. These events describe what you did, never what you wrote. For example, we record that a resume was created, that an experience entry was saved, or that an export completed, along with counts and settings such as the number of skills added or the template chosen.

Analytics events never include:

PostHog also collects standard technical information, such as your device model, iOS version, app version, and a random identifier that is not linked to your identity. The app additionally reports anonymous crash and error information so we can fix bugs.

Purchases

The app offers a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment information; we never see your card details, billing address, or Apple ID credentials. We record an anonymous analytics event when a purchase or restore completes, which includes the product identifier only.

This website

This marketing website does not require an account and does not use advertising trackers. Standard server logs (such as IP addresses) may be processed by our hosting provider to serve and secure the site.

Data retention and deletion

Because your resume data lives only on your device, you are in control of it. You can delete individual resumes inside the app, which removes them and their contents immediately. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. Anonymous analytics data is retained by PostHog under its standard retention practices and cannot be linked back to you.

Children

Good on Paper is made for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
